For Knee High: Measure ankle and calf.

For Thigh High: Measure ankle, calf, and thigh.

For Waist High, Maternity and Chap: Measure ankle, calf, thigh, hips, and/or waist.

 

Measuring Directions

For Knee Highs:

  1. Measure the circumference of the ankle ABOVE the ankle bone.
  2. Measure the circumference of the calf at the widest point.
  3. Measure the length on the outside of the leg from just below knee to the floor.

For Thigh Highs:

  1. Measure the circumference of the ankle ABOVE the ankle bone
  2. Measure the circumference of the calf at the widest point.
  3. Measure the circumference of the thigh at the widest point.
  4. Measure the length of the outside leg from just below buttocks to the floor.

For Waist High, Maternity and Chaps:

  1. Measure the circumference of the ankle ABOVE the ankle bone
  2. Measure the circumference of the calf at the widest point.
  3. Measure the circumference of the thigh at the widest point.
  4. Measure the circumference of the hips at widest point.

Measuring Hints

  • Measurements should be taken when you first get up in the morning before swelling can occur. If measurements need to be taken after you have been on your feet for some time, try to elevate your feet for 15 minutes prior to measuring.
  • Measurements should be taken while standing. Try to have someone assist you and take the measurements for you as you stand flat footed.
